Couscous Salad with Yummies in a Jar Vinaigrette and fresh Trout with our Maple Glaze

Couscous Salad Serve hot or cold.  Serves 3 - 4

1 1/2 cups of boiling water or stock

1 cup of Couscous

Pour water/stock over couscous. Stir, cover and let stand 5 minutes.

Add any or all of the following:  diced apricots, dried cranberries, chopped green onions, feta cheese, canned chickpeas - rinsed, fresh parsley, mint, basil and/or spinach leaves, diced celery.

Drizzle your choice of Yummies in a Jar Oil Free Vinaigrette over the salad.  My favourites for this salad are the Orange & Peach, Honey Poppy Seed and Grapefruit & Ginger. 

Grilled Trout* with Flavoured Maple Syrup

Brush trout with Yummies in a Jar Maple Syrup & Rum or Brandy or Butterscotch Liqueur.  Option - sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.  Grill or bake for about 5 minutes.  Enjoy! 

* Note:  We are happy to bring in fresh Muskoka trout most Wednesday and Saturday afternoons from May - October.  Please call to order in advance.  We also carry smoked Muskoka trout fillets and pate during these months.
